On the afternoon of April 7th, the college held a special lecture focused on“AI+ Empowerment and Practical Application in Education and Teaching”. Professor Zhang Renjie, Dean of the AI Training Institute at Hunan Post and Telecommunications College and Director of the Digital Intelligence Department of Hunan Telecom Communication Service Training Company, was invited as the main speaker. The lecture was presided over by Vice President Shen Jianfei, and more than 300 teachers participated in it.
Professor Zhang Renjie delivered a high-quality presentation that combined theoretical depth with practical value, characterized by his witty and humorous style. He systematically reviewed the evolution and underlying logic of artificial intelligence technology, offered an in-depth analysis of “key AI terms and concepts that teachers need to know”, and clarified essential terminology and technical frameworks in generative AI. Through specific cases, Professor Zhang demonstrated “common AI tools and applications for teachers”, vividly illustrating how intelligent tools can be applied in scenarios such as instructional design and resource development. At the end of the lecture, Professor Zhang guided the audience to reflect deeply on “future education in the AI era”, emphasizing that while technology empowers teaching, educators should actively innovate pedagogical methods while staying true to the essence of education.
In the concluding part, Vice President Shen Jianfei noted that technology is profoundly reshaping the landscape of education. As a national “Double High-level Plan” construction unit, the college, led by its nationally renowned high-level professional cluster in Digital Media Art and Design, is exploring an innovative education model that integrates “AI + digital content + educational scenarios”. Deeply embedding artificial intelligence technology into education and teaching is a critical pathway to enhancing educational quality, serving industrial upgrading, and achieving connotative development.
