On November 25, the 26th Student Congress of Hunan Mass Media Vocational & Technical College (HNMMC) was solemnly held in the Academic Lecture Hall. Xie Jingwei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the college, and Vice Presidents Lei Junlin, Zhu Dan, and Shen Jianfei attended the congress. Heads of relevant functional departments and CPC and Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) organizations of the secondary schools, together with 211 official delegates and 27 non-voting delegates, gathered to pool youthful wisdom and collective strength and to jointly chart a new blueprint for the college’s development.
At 9 a.m., the congress commenced with the majestic national anthem. Lei Junlin read aloud the official approval for the convening of the congress.

Xie Jingwei delivered a keynote address, in which he fully affirmed the achievements of the previous Student Union and put forward four expectations for young students across the college: to set sail with ideals and become dream chasers who unite hearts and minds; to take service as a responsibility and become practitioners who connect teachers and students; to ground themselves in solid work and become leaders who empower growth; and to measure themselves by discipline and become role models of self-discipline. He encouraged all delegates to shoulder their missions and integrate their personal aspirations into the overall development of the college.
Zhu Dan extended congratulatory remarks, noting that the congress was a grand event that built consensus and energized youth. He expressed his hope that student representatives would remain true to their original aspirations, study diligently, work pragmatically, uphold a pioneering spirit, and maintain an innovative yet down-to-earth approach, striving to open a new chapter in the college’s CCYL Committee and student affairs.

The congress deliberated and adopted the Resolution on the Work Report of the 25th Student Union (Draft), and elected the Standing Committee of the 26th Student Congress as well as the Presidium of the 26th Student Union.
The congress received congratulatory messages from student unions of 21 peer institutions, including Hunan Agricultural University. Representatives from the student unions of Hunan Polytechnic of Water Resources and Electric Power, Hunan Communication Polytechnic, and Changsha Environmental Protection College, among others, attended the congress to extend their congratulations.
At around 5:00 p.m., after successfully completing all scheduled agendas, the congress concluded victoriously with the college anthem We Are in the Prime of Our Youth.
