The finals of the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition- Art and Design Track (Higher Vocational Group) concluded on August 31 in Guiyang, featuring 200 competing teams from vocational colleges across the country. The team guided by Shen Jianfei and Ma Jianchang from the School of Visual Arts of our college won the gold medal, while the teams guided by Chen Xiwen, and jointly by Peng Jing and Lei Mengwei, both received silver medals. This outstanding result of “one gold and two silvers” represents a major milestone for HNMMC’s Digital Media Art Design program cluster and marks the college’s historic first gold in this competition.
This year’s competition, themed “Skilled Youth, Shining Future”, emphasized three core elements: “exquisite skills, youthful energy, and a better life”. Entries were evaluated across five dimensions: technical proficiency, professional literacy, practical value, teamwork, and creativity. HNMMC’s three submissions, closely aligned with the theme of deep integration of culture and technology, impressed judges and experts with authentic college-enterprise collaboration cases, solid professional skills, excellent teamwork, and well-rounded competencies.
For a long time, HNMMC has adhered to the principle of “promoting teaching through competitions, learning through competitions, and reform through competitions”, focusing on the five dimensions of positions, courses, competitions, training, and innovation, actively advancing the innovative development of vocational media education, and integrating with Hunan’s 4×4 modern industry system. The recent awards fully demonstrate the college’s significant achievements in building the Digital Media Art Design program cluster and cultivating high-quality skilled talents. They also vividly reflect the college’s deep integration and resonance between vocational education and the cultural industry.Looking ahead, HNMMC will continue to leverage high-level competitions to drive innovation in educational philosophy, enhance quality of program development, and contribute further to the practice of cultivating talent in the Digital Media Art Design program cluster, as well as to the creative transformation and innovative development of Hunan’s culture through digital intelligence technologies.
