Third Gold! HNMMC Students Won One Gold and One Silver at the World Vocational College Skills Competition

On September 8, the finals of the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition – News and Communication Track (Higher Vocational Group) concluded successfully in Yinchuan, Ningxia. Two teams from the School of Journalism and Communication of HNMMC delivered outstanding performances, winning one gold medal and one silver medal. This marks the third gold medal won by HNMMC in this year’s competition.

The event brought together top vocational college talents from around the world in a highly competitive setting. During the preparation period, HNMMC’s teachers and students worked in close collaboration, overcame numerous challenges, and adhered to the preparation philosophy of “integration, innovation, and excellence”. They skillfully combined creative thinking with practical expertise, showcasing the superb technical and creative abilities of media students.The gold-medal-winning team, guided by instructors Zou Yao and Li Xiang, consisted of students Luo Yusi, Liao Jiaying, Deng Yongqi, and Yang Zijin. Their project, distinguished by its strong sense of the times, exquisite craftsmanship, and compelling presentation, deeply integrated the latest trends in media communication, visual design, and film narrative—earning high praise from the competition judges.The silver-medal-winning team, instructed by Gong Yan and Tang Peini, comprised students Ma Qiufang, Zhou Jinhui, Zeng Kaifeng, and Chen Zhanbo, who also demonstrated remarkable creativity and professionalism throughout the competition.

The participating students came from various majors, including Photography and Videography Technology, Radio and Television Program Production, Online Journalism and Communication, Film and Television Directing, Movie and TV Animation, and Broadcasting and Hosting. The achievement of “one gold and one silver” fully reflects the significant progress made by HNMMC’s Digital Media Art and Design program cluster in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and project-based teaching reform. It also represents another milestone in the college’s “Double High” (high-level vocational college and majors with Chinese characteristics) development initiative.
