On the morning of September 13, the inaugural meeting of the Rope Skipping Branch of the Hunan Student Sports Association was grandly held at HNMMC. Attendees included Lu Heyang, Deputy Director of the Division of Physical, Health, and Arts Education of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education; Shen Jianfei, Vice President of HNMMC; Zhou Wen, Vice Chairman of the Hunan Student Sports Association; and Xu Chenlan, President of the Hunan Rope Skipping Association. Representatives from schools across the province, along with teachers and student sports workers, witnessed this significant moment together.
On behalf of the college, Vice President Shen Jianfei delivered a welcome speech, stating that HNMMC will fully support the work of the Rope Skipping Branch and leverage its strengths in media and arts to contribute to the promotion and publicity of rope skipping.
Zhou Wen noted in his remarks that the establishment of the Rope Skipping Branch marks a key step in improving the organizational system of student sports in Hunan. He expressed hope that the branch will effectively fulfill its responsibilities and serve as an important link connecting schools at all levels and serving the broad community of students.
Zhang Lisha, the newly elected president of the Rope Skipping Branch, gave a statement outlining the branch’s future plans and development vision. She pledged to unite all committee members and work diligently in event organization, teacher training, standard setting, and promotion to usher in a new era for student rope skipping in Hunan Province.
In his concluding speech, Lu Heyang put forward three expectations for the branch:First, stay true to the original aspiration of nurturing students — uphold the principle of fostering virtue through physical education, place moral cultivation and holistic youth development at the core, and promote the all-round growth and health of young people.Second, adhere to rules and regulations — ensure standardized and orderly development, remain committed to serving society and education, uphold public welfare principles, and strictly follow established rules in all events and activities to protect the legitimate rights and interests of member units, teachers, and students.Third, build a strong brand awareness — create a distinctive identity for rope skipping, making it a shining “window” that showcases the achievements of school sports in Hunan. The goal is to turn rope skipping into a signature feature of Hunan’s school sports and contribute to building a strong education province and cultivating a new generation for the new era.
The establishment of the Rope Skipping Branch marks the beginning of a new, more professional development platform for student rope skipping in Hunan. It holds great significance for integrating sports and education, enriching campus sports activities, and enhancing the physical fitness of young people. The branch will provide broader opportunities for students across the province to exercise and will inject new vitality into cultivating well-rounded socialist builders and successors with moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor development.
