Recently, the China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation and Exchange Event—part of the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo—was successfully held at the Changsha International Conference Center. Themed "Skills Connect China and Africa, Cooperation Creates the Future—Deepening Industry-Education Integration of Vocational Education to Empower China-Africa Economic and Trade Development", the event was jointly organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the UNICEF China. Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee Li Sanfu and Vice President Lei Junlin attended the event upon invitation.

The opening of the event featured the premiere of a themed promotional film produced by HNMMC, which received high praise from both Chinese and international attendees. The project was led by Vice President Lei Junlin and coordinated by the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Incubation Base of college's Admissions and Employment Office. It brought together members of the third cohort of the National Film and Animation Innovation Teaching Team and core faculty from multiple secondary schools, including specialties such as film and animation, film and television director, news gathering, editing and production, radio and television program production, broadcasting and hosting, photography and videography, and business English. A total of 12 faculty members and 36 students participated in the full production process, while over 200 additional students contributed indirectly through classroom discussions, material collection, and creative proposals. The team fully leveraged the strengths of a media-focused vocational college in integrating industry with education, incorporating a real-world project into teaching and innovation practices. This significantly enhanced both teachers' and students' core competencies in cross-cultural communication and digital content production. It also advanced the reform of HNMMC's "project-driven, practice-based" teaching model, providing a vivid example of how vocational education can align closely with industry needs.

The core concept and script of the promotional video were directly quoted and used as the headline in a feature report by China Education Daily on June 13, titled From "Skills Interconnectivity" to "Development Resonance" — Observations from the China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation and Exchange Event. This highlights the video's thought leadership in the discourse on China-Africa vocational education cooperation. The achievement showcases HNMMC's commitment to aligning its media strengths with national strategies, further solidifying its exemplary and leading role in the field of media vocational education.
