On June 9, HNMMC held its 2025 Graduation Ceremony at the Experimental Theater of the School of Arts. Party Secretary Li Sanfu, President He Zhanbing, Deputy Party Secretary Xie Jingwei, Vice Presidents Cheng Guizhen, Lei Junlin, and Zhu Dan, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Yang Jinhui, along with heads of secondary schools and functional departments, faculty and student representatives, and parent representatives, gathered to witness this significant milestone in the graduates’ journey. The ceremony was hosted by Vice President Zhu Dan.
In his keynote address, Li Sanfu congratulated the graduates, affirmed their growth, and encouraged them to embrace three guiding principles: anchor themselves in truth to remain clear-headed amidst noise and distractions; hoist the sail of innovation to ride the tides of technological change; and steer with humanity to navigate through the complexities of values and purpose.
The ceremony opened solemnly with the national anthem. A special graduation video titled Graduation, Please Respond reflected on the graduates’ campus life. The chorus performances of As Wished and Flowers Bloom, Worries Fade conveyed heartfelt blessings. Guo Jieheng, a student representative from the School of International Communication, shared his dreams and growth in a speech titled Believed by You, I Finally Learned to Believe in Myself. Li Xiang, a faculty representative from the School of Journalism and Communication, encouraged graduates to persevere with passion, broaden their horizons, and march forward with courage, emphasizing "love" as the guiding principle. Yan Miao’s mother, a parent representative from the School of Management, expressed gratitude in her speech Thank You for Letting My Star Shine, thanking the college and faculty for nurturing her daughter. A heartwarming video To Our Treasures, Happy Graduation, made by parents and students, conveyed deep familial love and well wishes. A particularly touching moment came during a special segment, when a father who had traveled over 1,000 kilometers from Yunnan appeared on stage with a bouquet and a photo album documenting his daughter’s growth. His tearful words and proud smile became the most moving gift of the day.
At the ceremony, college leaders presented diplomas to graduate representatives and awarded certificates to both provincial and school-level outstanding graduates. When the certificates were handed over, the hall erupted in prolonged applause—celebrating not only academic achievements, but also honoring the perseverance and dedication behind every success.
