On March 10th, HNMMC held the opening ceremony for international students of the spring semester, welcoming 17 students from four countries: Madagascar, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Xie Jingwei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech. Relevant persons in charge of the Office of International Exchange, the Office of Logistics and Infrastructure, and the School of International Communication also participated in the event.

In his speech, Xie Jingwei warmly welcomed the international students and shared the college's experience and achievements in international student education. He also expressed three key expectations for the students: First, he hoped they would become media professionals who integrate knowledge and practice by engaging in social practice projects, exploring the frontiers of ultra-high-definition technology, and using their lenses to document the craftsmanship of intangible cultural heritage inheritors. Second, he encouraged them to become pioneers of intercultural exchange, serving as ambassadors of communication and bridges connecting the world. Third, he urged them to be trailblazers who embrace new technologies, venture into uncharted territories of emerging fields, and contribute youthful solutions to the global transformation of media.

International student representatives from the Broadcasting and Television Program Production major and the Modern Popular Music major shared their experiences and insights about studying and living at HNMMC.

Following the ceremony, the college’s medical office conducted a special health education lecture for international students, providing information on the prevention and treatment of seasonal and infectious diseases to help them adapt to life in China more quickly.
