On December 31st, the China Finals of the 2024 "Belt and Road" International Supermodel Contest concluded in Changsha. Li Yiting, a student from the School of Visual Arts at HNMMC, won the "Runner-up" title in the women's category, while Deng Wenjuan, also from the School of Visual Arts, was honored as one of the "Top Ten Supermodels". President He Zhanbing was invited to attend the event and presented awards to the winners.
The contest, jointly organized by the "Belt and Road" International Supermodel Organization in collaboration with world-class model agencies, institutions of higher learning, and fashion organizations, is a prestigious modeling contest with selections held across more than 60 countries and regions along the Belt and Road. The event featured segments such as a swimsuit-themed show, a modern Chinese cheongsam showcase, and a men's suit presentation. After intense competition, the contestants from our college stood out among 46 participants from over 40 cities nationwide. With their solid professional skills, exceptional talents, and confident stage presence, they won multiple awards, showcasing the artistic talent and dynamic spirit of young media students.
Meanwhile, the China Finals of the 2024 Miss Tourism & Culture World pageant took place in Guangzhou, where Shen Chenrong, a student from the School of Journalism and Communication, was awarded the "Best New Media Influencer" title.
