To further promote the development of a healthy campus and enhance the dissemination of first aid knowledge and skills, the Logistics and Infrastructure Department and the Student Affairs Office recently organized a five-day emergency first aid training program in collaboration with six secondary schools. The training attracted nearly 7,000 students and faculty members.

The program featured professional first aid instructors from the Changsha Red Cross Society, who combined theoretical instruction with live demonstrations to teach students a range of practical emergency skills. These included techniques for quickly and effectively controlling bleeding and applying bandages to minimize infection risk, handling joint sprains sustained during sports or daily activities, managing burns and scalds of varying severity to prevent worsening injuries, and mastering rapid hemostasis techniques for nosebleeds.

During the training sessions, students actively participated in hands-on practice and simulated emergency scenarios, deepening their understanding and retention of first aid skills. Many expressed that the training was both informative and highly practical, and they were eager to share the knowledge with their families and friends to help improve emergency response capabilities in their communities. The college remains committed to advancing first aid education, ensuring the health and safety of its students and staff.
