Good News! Our Faculty and Students Won Another National Award

Recently, the "8th Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition 2024 – XR Virtual Production (Film & Television) Technology Category" successfully concluded in Deqing, Zhejiang. The event was co-hosted by the BRICS Business Council (BRICS BC), the International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS Countries (IASDB), the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange under the Ministry of Education, and other institutions. In the faculty competition, Zhang Jing, Zhou Yanmei, and Zhu Liang from the School of New Media Technology won the national second prize. Meanwhile, a student team guided by Li Huiyi and Shan Yingxia received the national excellence award, and HNMMC was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award.

Teacher Team Awarded Second Prize

This competition attracted 145 teams and 435 participants from 90 institutions, competing across core fields including 3D digital model design and production, UE cinematic-grade digital scene construction and rendering, engine effect rendering and post-production, and XR virtual filming with on-screen asset integration. With an intense and interconnected schedule, the event posed a significant challenge to contestants' knowledge base, technical skills, and creative innovation capabilities.

The remarkable achievements of our faculty and students in this national competition highlight the college's proactive engagement with cutting-edge industry technologies and its commitment to exploring new pathways for industry-education integration. This success also underscores the college’s excellence in cultivating the next generation of digital talent.
