Recently, the "70th Anniversary Celebration of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County", hosted by the CPC Tongdao Dong Autonomous County Committee and the People's Government of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County, was held at the Cultural Performance Center of Tongdao County. Faculty and students from our college were invited to participate in the performances.
The gala, themed "Building a New Tongdao, Striving for a New Era", was divided into five chapters: Joyful Dong Land, Reflecting on the Path of Our Original Aspirations, Building a New Tongdao Together, Fulfilling the Chinese Dream Together, and United Toward the Future. Young faculty members from the Dance Teaching and Research Office of our School of Film and Television Art, including Li Jiazi, Wang Jue, and Xiao Dongliang, led students majoring in Dance Performance to participate in programs such as the Dong Ethnic Style Showcase Joyful Dong Land, the musical dance drama The Party's Glory Illuminates Dong Land, and the grand song-and-dance performance Good Luck Comes. Xiao Dongliang served as the Artistic Director of the gala. The performing team integrated the region's rich and unique ethnic customs with contemporary trends, vividly presenting the unity, integration, and progressive spirit of the times among various ethnic groups in Tongdao through culturally distinctive artistic forms, earning widespread acclaim from the audience.
It is reported that other invited performers included institutions such as Hunan Normal University, Hunan First Normal University, Changsha Normal University, and the Hunan Opera and Dance Drama Theatre.
The outstanding performances of our faculty and students at the gala not only showcased the achievements of our talent cultivation efforts but also marked another exploration and practice in advancing vocational education reform and deepening industry-education integration. Moving forward, our college will continue to uphold its historical mission of preserving and promoting Huxiang culture, deepen vocational education reform, explore innovative talent cultivation models, enhance the comprehensive quality of students, and enrich the cultural lives of the public. We aim to contribute more to the development of cultural initiatives and the building of a harmonious society.
