On September 13th, HNMMC held the 2024 Fall Semester Orientation Meeting for International Students. Relevant officials from the International Exchange Office, School of Management, School of International Communication, and School of New Media Technology, along with representatives of faculty members who teach international students, attended the meeting. International students from Madagascar, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia also participated.
At the meeting, the college provided an overview of its basic information and conducted comprehensive orientation sessions for international students. Topics covered included Chinese laws and regulations, college rules, academic guidance, safety education, daily life tips, traffic safety, and fraud prevention. These sessions offered valuable guidance and support to help international students quickly adapt to their new academic and living environments.
The heads of the teaching and research sections from Digital Media Technology, E-commerce, and International Chinese Education introduced the talent cultivation plans, professional course structures, academic requirements, and teaching resources. They emphasized the importance of integrating theory with practice, encouraging students to actively participate in practical projects to enhance their overall competitiveness.
The international students expressed their expectations for the upcoming campus life. RASOANJANAHARY JOCELYNE from Madagascar, who completed a year of Chinese language studies at our college and is now a freshman in the E-commerce program, shared: "In Madagascar, we don’t have our own online shopping platform. I hope to bring this technology back after my studies." CHANDRADEWI from Malaysia and KEVIN KONG ZHEN WEI from Indonesia shared their study and life experiences, highlighting the inclusiveness and vibrancy of the college's multicultural environment.
