On December 3, the 2022 College Graduates of Culture and Creativity in Hunan Province, hosted by the Education Department of Hunan Province and undertaken by Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College, was held on the track of the college.
A total of 108 employers in the province participated in this job fair, providing 410 positions, with a demand of 4,050 people, covering all majors of the college. The fair was organized in an orderly manner, which provided employers and graduates with a favorable platform for interaction. 3,453 graduates were divided into batches according to their secondary schools when entering the track. All students took active participation in submitting their resumes. According to incomplete statistics, the employers on site have collected more than 6000 application resumes and reached preliminary intentions with over 1,100 graduates.
To ensure the success of this fair, the leadership of the college went deep into the enterprises and had close contact with the Malanshan Cultural and Creative Video Industrial Park and the county-level Convergence Media Center to better know the needs of employers, expand and strengthen cooperation in various fields. According to figures, this job fair attracted nearly 30 companies in the Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park and Method Media Centers (TV stations), providing graduates with positions such as broadcast hosting, journalist, video editor, new media operator, post-production, animators, which matched the specialties in main construction by the college.
Yuan Weikun, secretary of the Party Committee of the college, Cheng Guizhen, secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, and vice president Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin, Xie Jingwei and other college leaders warmly welcomed representatives of the companies at the fair, and communicated with them to understand the needs of employers and the use of the graduates. They also talked with some graduates, guiding them to apply for jobs, and inspected the epidemic prevention and control work on the spot.
In order to improve the employment skills of graduates, the “Resume Guidance Office” and “Employment Guidance and Consultation Office” booths were set up at the job fair. More than 10 teachers working in employment, teaching, vocational counsel for students, provided the graduates with more adequate and higher quality employment by offering services such as CV guidance, employment and entrepreneurship policy consultation, interview skills guidance, and recommendation of outstanding employers and suitable jobs.
It is reported that the college’s Party committee attached great importance to the relevant work of the job fair for graduates, focusing on employment on the one hand and epidemic prevention on the other. In accordance with the requirements of normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the college established a joint prevention and control mechanism, and proactively reported to the Changsha County COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters. To make sure of a smooth progress of the job fair, the college established a special work team and a multi-departmental linkage mechanism in preparation for epidemic prevention and control and emergency response with detailed work plans in line with the requirements by higher authorities. The college has taken strict measures to make various prevention and control actions practicable to all relevant department and responsible person.
