From July 8 to 9, the Party Committee Secretary Yuan Weikun, President Ma Yujun, and Party Committee Deputy Secretary Liu Guoqing led a team to Xinqiao Village, Longshan County for investigations on rural revitalization, and visited the college’s staff members staying at the village. Deputy Secretary Chen Zhongyao, Zhang Shengjun, member of the Standing Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Longshan County Party Committee and relevant comrades from the County Village Office and Xinglong Sub-district Office accompanied them in the investigation.
After arrival in the village, Yuan Weikun, Ma Yujun and their entourage investigated the cultural construction of the Party building of the village, unveiled the nameplate of the village as a recipient in the assistance program of the rural revitalization of HNMMC, and visited the college’s staff working in the village. At the symposium attended by the college members and the Party members of Xinqiao Village, Secretary Yuan and President Ma listened to the special report delivered by He Fasheng, the first secretary and team leader of the college’s rural revitalization assistance-team in Xinqiao Village. They showed their appreciation to the comrades of the team for their hard work and positive contribution to rural revitalization, and asked them about in detail, and expressed the care and greetings of the college to them after knowing about their their life and work here. Moreover, the team was required to do a solid job on the basis of the actual conditions of Xinqiao Village. Xiang Yulin, a Party member representative of Xinqiao Village, made a speech to thank the college for its strong support to the revitalization of the village, and report to the leadership about the relevant livelihood demands of the villagers that they expected to be resolved.
At the meeting, Yuan and Ma fully affirmed the work of the assistance-team, pointing out that the team members must improve their political stance, thoroughly implement the decisions and deployments of the Central and provincial Party committees. Through adherence to overall planning and exploring the model of rural revitalization that can be replicated and promoted, they should fully devoted to the poverty alleviation work of Xinqiao Village from "poverty alleviation and consolidation" to "village revitalization". The team members were required to be more disciplinary, united and conscientious, doing a good job in the local customs, ecological environment, industrial structure, education level, labor force composition, and others in the front line, and doing practical and good deeds for the people of Xinqiao Village by giving full play to the college's professional advantages and talents.
During the symposium, Deputy Secretary Chen Zhongyao expressed his gratitude to the college for assisting Xinqiao Village in rural revitalization. He made a commitment that the county Party committee and county government would fully support the work of the college’s assistance-team by earnestly fulfilling the main responsibility of rural revitalization, and create a new situation with a concerted effort to facilitate the development of rural revitalization in order to build Xinqiao Village as a demonstration site for rural revitalization.
After meeting, Party Secretary Yuan Weikun gave a class to all members of the Party branch of Xinqiao Village, and carried out a special mini promotion "teaching the Party class to the grass-roots units".
Yuan Weikun, Ma Yujun and his entourage also conducted field investigations on the development of local industries, visited families in poverty, and carried out an on-site inspection on the development of rural cultural tourism planning in Xinqiao Village.
The college organized relevant personnel from the Division of Personnel and Party Affairs, the Division of Publicity and United Front Work, the School of Visual Art, the School of Film and Television Art and other departments to participate in the investigation.
