On June 18, the college held the 2021 Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award Entrepreneurship Planning Competition. Lei Junlin, vice president of the college, attended the event. The jury of the school competition was composed of Cheng Zhong, chairman of Hunan Zhichuang Future Education Technology Co., Ltd., and the innovation and entrepreneurship tutor of the Education Department of Hunan Province, and the responsible people of the Admissions and Employment Guidance Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Student Work Office, the Scientific Research Management Office, the School-Enterprise Cooperation Office and the Entrepreneurship Teaching and Research Office.
The competition was divided into three sessions: school-level preliminary competition, college-level online evaluation, and college-level final. Nearly 80 projects were competed in the preliminary competition and online reviews, and 13 project teams were selected to enter the final. In the contest, the contestants displayed their unique creativity and pragmatic entrepreneurial practices naturally and fluently through graphic or physical display. The judges made a comprehensive evaluation based on the contestants’ statement, Q&A, and overall performance. After fierce competition, 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 8 third prizes appeared. Among them, the live streaming e-commerce new farmers’ aid project recommended by the School of Management, and the plan for talents assistance "Being Special But Not Isolating” by the School of Journalism and Communication won the first prize. The waste sorting intelligent voice trash can and the planning studio recommended by the School of Management, and the "Chu Yi Action" studio by the School of Journalism and Communication, and the "Dust-Free" B&B design by the School of Visual Arts won the second prize. The above 5 projects will represent our college to participate in the first round of Hunan provincial Huangyanpei Vocational Education Award Entrepreneurship Planning Competition in 2021.
After the contest, Mr. Cheng made a comment on the event. He gave a high recognition of the innovation and entrepreneurship projects participating in the school competition, suggesting that the contestants pay attention to the business logic of projects and products, discover the value of the market, strengthen the analysis and application of big data in preparation of innovative and entrepreneurial projects in a down-to-earth manner.
This school competition aims to stimulate the enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship of higher vocational college students and demonstrate the achievements of the college in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Through "promoting learning through competition and cultivating the main force of innovation and entrepreneurship", students with passion for entrepreneurship are able to master methods to start a business and lay a solid foundation for the organization and development of innovative and entrepreneurial practice projects.
