On November 27, sponsored by the Education Department of Hunan Province, organized by HNMMC, the supply-demand meeting for 2021 college graduates in Cultural Creativity Specialties and the large-scale recruitment fair for 2021 graduates of Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College were successfully held in the gymnasium.
A total of 147 employers participated in this job fair, providing 5,495 positions in different categories, covering all specialties of the college. The job fair attracted 2,458 graduates of the college, some current students, and nearly 300 graduates from Changsha University of Science and Technology, Hunan Institute of Technology, Hunan International Business Vocational College and other universities to apply for jobs.
The responsible person of the Admissions and Employment Office introduced that the participating units involved a wide range and large scale, covering culture, sports and entertainment, information transmission, software and information technology, education and training, wholesale and retail, finance, and construction, real estate, manufacturing and other industries. The participating employers have a high degree of professional fit, high level, and high quality positions. Among them, the culture, sports and entertainment industries accounted for 42.86%, the information transmission, software and information technology service industries accounted for 13.57%; as well as 34 China's top 500 companies and 7 listed companies. The positions provided by this job fair meet the employment needs of graduates and have received keen attention from them. The event site was crowded with people, and graduates were enthusiastic about job hunting, consulting and submitting their resumes in front of their interested company’s booths.
It is reported that the college has always attached great importance to the employment and entrepreneurship of college students. Especially in recent years, the college has adhered to the implementation of the Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China by grasping the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people, innovating working ideas, improving the working mechanism, strengthening the guarantee of conditions, and extending the working tentacles, and has achieved good results so far. The initial employment rate of graduates in the past three years has been in the front rank of the province's higher vocational colleges. Since 2016, the college has repeatedly won the "top-level project" excellent unit for the supervision of the employment and entrepreneurship of ordinary colleges and universities in Hunan Province.For the success of this job fair, the college has established a special supply-demand meeting leading group responsible for organization, coordination and supervision. The college also held a special study to conduct a comprehensive deployment of the job fair. The Admissions and Employment Guidance Office and the secondary schools actively organized and selected candidates, and guided graduates to apply for employment. College leaders Yuan Weikun, Ma Yujun, Xu Jingxue and others visited the site and communicated with employers and secondary schools to understand the needs of employers and their satisfaction with graduates.
