On May 30, in remote area of Xuefeng Mountain, on the bank of the Yuanshui Xuhe River, situated the Central Primary School in Gezhuping Town, Xupu County. An original radio play for children drew waves of laughter out of the pupils.

The original children's radio drama being played is the gift of Children's Day to the children of Gezhuping Town Central Primary School, Xupu County, Huaihua City, which was made by teachers and students of the Film and Television Directing Specialty of the School of Journalism and Communication, Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College. Under the leadership of three teachers, Li Xiang, Lv Xinyan, and Wang Caicai, the teachers and students of the Film and Television Directing Specialty of the School of Journalism and the Specialty of Broadcasting and Hosting of the School of Film and Television Art of our college have made a great effort in shooting, production and refining for more than ten days. Covering traditional Chinese cultural knowledge, museum stories, stories of the people who moved China, scientific common sense and others, the twelve episodes of the original radio play for children would be shown on the OfficalWeChat of "Malanshan Youth Training Camp" on June 1. The teachers and students of the Central Elementary School of Gezhuping town would be the first audience.

It is reported that there are many left-behind children in Gezhuping town, where the resources for compulsory education are severely insufficient. There are a total of 12 villages in the town, among which 4 were deeply impoverished villages but now have passed the provincial poverty alleviation inspection, and will soon be greeted by the national poverty alleviation check and acceptance. The assistance activity is an innovative measure for our College to use of its own educational resources advantage to serve to overcome poverty. It demonstrates the good professional qualities of our teacher and student teams and the ability to collaborate deeply in cross-specialties. More importantly, it’s a forceful measure for our teachers and students to tell a good Chinese story, inherit Chinese culture, and boost the artistic quality education in poverty-stricken areas in the remote mountains.
