The competition kicked off in the opening show of the “Chinese Bridge of the World” co-starred by the champions of five continents, the top 15 contestants and the Chinese language observation group. This year's grand final created the concept of “circle of friend” and integrated the concept of “world's circle of friends” into the topic design and sessions of the general final. It was mainly divided into three sessions. The first one was the “Friends Circle of Dami”. Through the WeChat Moments of the upperclassman Dami in Chinese Bridge, the colorful lives of Dami’s five foreign friends in five cities of China were displayed in the form of VLOG. At the same time, the questions were taken from the videos. The second session was a drama performance show. The champions of five continents “returned” to Chinese Tang Dynasty, and entered Li Bai’s circle of friends, reinterpreting the friendship between Li Bai and Zhao Heng (Abeno Nakamaro) in history. The performance demonstrated the epitome of the era of the friendship between China and other countries during the flourishing period of Tang Dynasty, and the attraction and charisma of the traditional Chinese culture to the people of the world in all ages. This session also examined the comprehensive ability of contestants’ Chinese language by means of situational deduction. The third session was the peak duel. Contestant Shi Yu from Egypt and Contestant Jiang Tiangai from Myanmar competed in the final battle for the global grand champion.
