On August 6, the fourth session of the 18th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students finals came to an end. The top 3 contestants of every continent with the highest scores in the previous 4 matches successfully advanced to the top 15 of the Chinese Bridge competition this year. Yuan Weikun, the Secretary of the Party Committee of HNMMC, Ma Yujun, the President of HNMMC, and He Zhanbing, the Vice President and the Head of the Hunan Eduvision Service, presented awards to the winners of the final.

In the "Chinese Sudoku" section, a question for the pupils in the second grade of primary schools unexpectedly stumped all the contestants. Australian contestant Baiyang gave a novel answer: "There are a drop of creek and a leaf of stone bridge in front of my house". The host Li Rui praised that the answer was wrong but full of poetry. Everyone on the scene nodded and agreed.

The poetry topic of this session aimed to popularize the knowledge for the ancient people to spend the midsummer. "The heat disappears because of a calm mind, the cool comes when the room is ventilated", interpreted by a Brazilian contestant Li Meng, who was known as the "prince of poetry". "This poem expresses the meaning that so long as one keeps calm, one doesn't feel the heat too much. When you calm down, you won't feel so hot," Li Meng continued, "I'm really fond of Chinese poetry, especially Li Bai's Staying Overnight in a Mountain Temple and Wang Wei's Thinking of My Brothers on Mountain Climbing Day. I can experience the same feelings as the poet's."

In the third round of the "Upperclassman Taking You to See China", upperclassman David from the previous Chinese Bridge competition found a special Chinese photographer and guided everyone to see China through VLOG. The contestants enjoyed the charm of China shot from a high angle, talking about the Chinese cities they have visited and sharing their travel experiences. Chen Anyi from Morocco said, "I have been to Beijing, Hangzhou, Xi'an and other places. I think Chongqing's night view is so beautiful and romantic." He also showed "Meir" in Chongqing dialect, winning people's laughter and applause.

After three rounds of fierce competition, the scores of the four finals were counted, and the list of the world's top 15 contestants was officially released. It is said that the qualified contestants will be divided into three groups to go to Shanghai, Hebei Province and Shandong Province for cultural experience activities, experiencing Chinese traditional culture and innovative technology in multiple dimensions.
