School Introduction 

The Management School was founded on June 9, 2013, and it was built on the basis of the original Media Management Department. The school consists of two teaching departments: the Media Management Department and the Financial and Economic Management Department. The Media Management Department offers two programs in the Cultural Market Operation and Management and the Media Planning and Management. The Financial and Economic Management Department offers four programs in the Financial Management and Practice, Investment and Financial Management, Marketing, and Accounting. Among the four programs, the accounting program is the construction program supported by the central finance aiming at improving the professional service capacities of higher vocational colleges and the Financial Management and Practice specialty program is the characteristic specialty construction program of the “12th Five-year Plan” for the Vocational Education of Huanan Province.

The school has built four professional teaching teams including 73 full-time and part-time team members who work in the college, including 10 members with senior professional titles, 16 members with sub-senior professional titles, 2 members with doctor degrees, 2 members who are doctoral candidates, 45 members with master degrees and 44 members with double qualifications related to teaching. In addition, the school has invited over 30 senior experts with rich industrial experiences from outside the college to work as the part-time teachers.

The school has built seven extracurricular practice platforms for students such as the “Fulcrum” Culture Studio and the Investment Association and over 10 training rooms in the college such as the Computerized Accounting Practice Room and the ERP Sand Table Simulation Confrontation Laboratory. In addition, the school has established university-enterprise cooperation relationships with more than ten enterprises and public institutions such as Tangel Publishing Co., Ltd., Tianwen Digital Media Technology Co., Ltd. and China Merchants Bank, and it has established over 20 practice bases for students to practice at the actual work positions.

Financial and Economic Management Department 

Account specialty 

The key program of the Ministry of Education supported by the central finance aiming at improving the professional service capacities of higher vocational colleges cultivates technological and skilled talents who are qualified for working as cashiers, doing financial accounting work, tax paying and auditing, mainly providing qualified talents for SMEs, social intermediary organizations and other non-profitable organizations. The main courses include basic accountancy, accounting practice, cost accounting practice, enterprise tax payment, accounting computerization, practices at different accounting posts, financial management practice, financial report analyses, and integrated practice for all accounting posts.

 

Financial management specialty 

The special key construction program — the characteristic specialty of the “12th Five-year Plan” for the Vocational Education of Huanan Province, has excellent provincial-level teaching teams. It cultivates technological and skilled talents who are qualified for financial marketing, comprehensive over-the-counter operations, financial services, etc., mainly providing qualified talents for banks, insurance companies, the security industry, other nonbanking financial institutions and the financial work posts of ordinary enterprises. The main courses include the management fundamentals, the taxation and finance fundamentals, banking practice, security affairs, insurance affairs, credit granting and risk control, financial institution accounting, financial product marketing and internet finance affairs.

 

Investment and financial management specialty

It is a cutting-edge financial application specialty. It cultivates technological and skilled talents who are qualified for investment management, financial planning, financial product marketing, etc., providing qualified talents for security companies, investment companies, futures companies, investment consultancy companies, investment management companies, insurance companies, etc. The main courses include the investment and financial management fundamentals, the security investment analyses, personal financial management, futures and options, and financial product marketing.  

 

Marketing specialty

It cultivates technological and skilled talents who are qualified for marketing planning, sales management, market development, customer services, e-commerce, etc., mainly providing qualified talents for the media industry, the information industry, commodity circulation enterprises, the financial industry, etc. The main courses include market survey and forecast, marketing planning, business negotiation, advertisement, sales management, e-commerce, online store operation and promotion, and new media marketing.

 

E-commerce specialty 

It cultivates technological and skilled talents who are qualified for e-commerce planning, marketing, management and services, mainly providing qualified talents for commercial enterprises, import and export companies, customs, online stores, etc. The main courses include commodity information acquisition, digital picture editing, webpage design and making, network editing practice, online store operation management, online marketing planning, business negotiation, customer relation management and enterprise project management.

 

Media Management Department 

Communication and planning specialty (media planning and management)

It cultivates technological and skilled talents with good planning and creative capacities, media software application capacities and media product marketing capacities who are qualified for media activity planning and operation, brand image promotion and customer relation maintenance, mainly providing qualified talents for advertisement companies, culture communication companies, various enterprises, public institutions and media organizations. The main courses include media planning, new media making and communication, new media marketing, network editing, video and audio editing, graph and image processing, advertisement creation and planning, practical advertisement preparation, and activity planning and arrangement.

 

Cultural market operation and management specialty (cultural brokerage)

It cultivates technological and skilled talents who are qualified for cultural product marketing, cultural activity planning and arrangements, and performing project operation and management, mainly providing qualified talents for performing companies, culture, film and television companies, tourism agencies, artwork authentication and trading organizations. The main courses include cultural marketing, film and television actor and actress agents, cultural activity planning, performance operation and management, advertisement planning and creativity.
