On June 9th, the forum by awarded student representatives and instructors of 2017 vocational college skills contest was held with vice president Fang Jianchao in the chair. President Ma Yujun, the school-class college leaders of Academic Affairs Office and award-winning teams, the awarded student representatives and instructors attended this meeting. The representatives talked about the contest and recalled the whole experience. They said that participating the competition was a process of exploration, happiness and harvest so that they have developed the ability to solve problems; finally, they expressed their gratitude for the opportunity given by the college for their broadened horizons and upgraded skills through the contest. Instructors and leaders delivered different speeches on how to apply the achievements to the construction of professional lessons including the instructors of first-prize winner Li Huiyi and Xie Jingwei; the instructor of second-prize winner Wen Linbin, Zou Hao and Wang Jian, Dean of the School of New Media Technology Wu Zhenfeng and Dean of the Management School Ye Yi. It is reported that our college won the first prize of VR Design and Fabrication, the second prize of Management and Evaluation of Information Security as well as the second prize of Banking Integrated Skills in 2017 National Vocational Skills Contest. In 2017 Hunan Higher Vocational college Skills Contest, many prizes has been awarded including the first prize of VR Design and Fabrication (team competition), the first prize of Management and Evaluation of Information Security (team competition) , the first prize of Banking Integrated Skills (team competition), the second prize of Landscape Design (team competition), the second prize of Chinese Dance (individual competition), the second prize of Piano Performance (individual competition), the second prize of Oral English (Non-English Major, individual competition), the third prize of Management and Evaluation of Information Security (team competition) ,the third prize of CMNET Application Development (team competition),the third prize of Accounting (team competition),a total of 2 third prizes of Chinese Dance (individual competition), the third prize of Oral English (English major, individual competition).
President Ma Yujun, on behalf of the whole college, congratulated and thanked all the prize-winning students and their instructors sincerely. President Ma pointed out that the performance of students and instructors was worth complimentary and said that the College will offer more opportunities for both students and teachers. At the same time, Ma gave five suggestions for future arrangements: Firstly, our current achievements should be perpetuated. More VR learning scenarios and professional instructions will be provided for better development of students; Secondly, academic departments and schools should publish rules and regulations as soon as possible so that a good environment which focus on social practice and college reputation can be created; Thirdly, the school-enterprise cooperation should be strengthened to enhance the soft power of running a college; Fourthly, the training and selection system of competitors should be improved and related regulations should be put to cultivate students'learning and college's preparation in advance. Fifthly, great conditions will be provided in terms of teacher-training, management system and equipment preparation. At the end of his speech,Ma said that all departments should look ahead and cooperate effectively to enhance competitiveness by cultivate students’ passion in learning and school.
