On the afternoon of September 12th, Liu Yiguo, Director of the Teaching and Textbook Division at the Center for Vocational Education Development, Ministry of Education, P.R. China (CVED), along with his team, visited our college to investigate the implementation of the Management Measures for Textbooks in Vocational Colleges. He was accompanied by Li Qiong, Deputy Director of the Vocational and Adult Education Research Institute of the Hunan Academy of Education Sciences. They held discussions with representatives of our teachers and students. Party Secretary Li Sanfu, Vice President Lei Junlin, and relevant heads of the Academic Affairs Office of our college participated in the research meeting.

On behalf of all the faculty and students, Li Sanfu warmly welcomed the experts' visit. He emphasized that the college consistently prioritizes textbook management, closely aligning with the key tasks of the Ministry of Education and the Hunan Provincial Department of Education in textbook development. The college maintains a clear direction, ensures control over the main channels, strengthens the management and overall planning of textbook development, and establishes a comprehensive textbook management system. These efforts have effectively promoted the institutionalization, scientification, and standardization of textbook management at our college.

At the research meeting, Vice President Lei Junlin focused on the digital arts industry and shared insights on how to promote deeper integration between colleges and enterprises in textbook development. The Academic Affairs Office reported on the colleges efforts in textbook development and management, system implementation, evaluation of textbook development and usage, and the services and support provided for textbook development. Representatives of the faculty and students shared their own experiences in developing and using textbooks.

After listening carefully to the colleges report and engaging in in-depth discussions, Liu Yiguo fully affirmed our colleges textbook work and provided specific requirements for further strengthening textbook development and management. He emphasized that textbooks are a key tool for driving curriculum and teaching reforms. High-quality textbooks should be rooted in frontline teaching reforms and should be tailored to the growth of skilled students and the cultivation of high-level technical talent. He stressed the need for clear positioning, combining local and college strengths and characteristics, and ensuring that textbook development is both goal-oriented and exemplary. Textbooks should serve the education system by closely integrating with the overall goal of nurturing talent.
