Recently, the results of the first Rural Revitalization Charity Live Streaming Competition for Vocational Colleges of Hunan Province, co-hosted by Hunan Provincial Department of Education, Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and Hunan Provincial Rural Revitalization Bureau, were announced. After multiple rounds of selection from campus-level to provincial-level competitions, our college's "Model Agricultural Products Garden" live streaming team won first prize in the Higher Vocational Group, while the "Hunan Agricultural Support Squad" live streaming team won third prize in the Special Group.
The competition aims to fully implement the important statements made by President Xi Jinping on vocational education and rural revitalization, as well as the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It seeks to inspire innovation and entrepreneurial vitality in vocational college students, enhancing their skills as young talents. Since the competition’s launch in September 2023, it has attracted enthusiastic participation from 148 vocational schools across the province, with 5,670 teams and more than 22,000 students signing up to compete, generating widespread social attention. Several teams from our college created live streaming content aimed at real markets during the competition. Through tasks such as live stream promotion, operations, sales, and data analysis, the teams were able to execute real-world live streaming operations. This practice integrated teaching models of "posts, competitions, courses, and certifications", allowing students to apply their professional skills in team-based environments to their full advantage.
This competition has enhanced the ability of our students to serve the national strategy of rural revitalization. It has also guided young people to foster a deep connection with agriculture, develop strong skills in supporting agricultural initiatives, and actively participate in strengthening education in our province and building a digital economy. This contributes to empowering rural revitalization with improved quality and youthful energy.
