Recently, the 2024 "Keyun Cup" National Corporate Taxation and Business Management Skills Competition, organized by the China Business Accounting Institute, successfully concluded. After intense competition, two teams guided by our faculty members, Jiang Zhanbo and Chen Bei from the major of Big Data and Accounting in the School of Management, achieved the remarkable result of winning two first prizes.
The competition lasted over two months, with 576 teams from across the country participating. It was conducted as an online competition, using real-life companies as the context. The competition was divided into two segments: "handling daily corporate tax matters" and "final settlement of corporate income tax", featuring three roles: tax clerk, tax accountant, and financial manager. It assessed the participating teams' knowledge and ability to apply current tax laws and regulations in managing daily tax operations and corporate income tax settlement. The competition set high standards for participants' professional knowledge, practical skills, and occupational qualities, emphasizing both teamwork and individual expertise.
The competition provided an opportunity to assess the outcomes of our college's tax and accounting education. It fully demonstrated the universal technical and professional abilities of our accounting students in tax-related positions. In recent years, the Big Data and Accounting major has continued to deepen its teaching reforms, actively exploring an integrated model that combines "positions, courses, competitions, and certifications". This approach aligns with our professional talent cultivation goals and student characteristics, leveraging competitions to lead improvements in major construction and teaching quality. The Accounting major will continue to maintain its vigorous momentum, further deepen the reform of the talent cultivation model, and enhance the quality of talent development, striving to cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled professionals!
