On June 13th, Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College (HNMMC) held the Launch Ceremony of the First "Alumni Return to Hunan" Cultural Week and the 2024 Graduation Ceremony at the Star Theater. Wang Yuqing, Deputy Secretary of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, along with leaders from the special task force of "Alumni Return to Hunan", the Financial Construction Division, and the Development and Planning Division, attended the event. College leaders, teacher representatives, graduate representatives, and over 150 alumni participated.
The event was divided into two parts: the 2024 Graduation Ceremony themed "Gratitude and Diligence, Brightening the Future" and the Launch Ceremony of the First "Alumni Return to Hunan" Cultural Week. Vice Presidents Zhu Dan and Lei Junlin hosted the respective segments.
Accompanied by the solemn national anthem, the graduation ceremony officially began.
The college’s Party Secretary Li Sanfu and other leaders presented awards to recipients of the National Scholarship and provincial-level outstanding graduates. Following the award ceremony, Zhen Miao from the School of Visual Art and Wang Yulei from the School of Management delivered speeches on behalf of the faculty and students.President He Zhanbing encouraged everyone with three pieces of advice to shoulder the mission of the times. "The road ahead is long, but persistence leads to success" serves as an unending driving force to overcome obstacles; "Accumulate small steps and continue with practical actions" is the fundamental source for overcoming challenges; and "Stand at the forefront and dare to lead" is the essential requirement for responsibility.

After the warm-up recitation performance titled A Song of Praise to June for Our Alma Mater by the HNMMC Youth Lecturer Group: Upholding Integrity, the Launch Ceremony of the First "Alumni Return to Hunan" Cultural Week began.
Wang Yuqing highly praised the achievements of the college in the "Alumni Return to Hunan" initiative. He expressed hope that everyone would continue to uphold the college’s spirit of moral integrity and innovative progress, strive to become "practical leaders" in revitalizing Hunan's industries, "pioneers" in technological innovation, "strong connectors" in attracting investment and talent, and "golden microphones" in promoting Hunan, together drawing a more beautiful blueprint for the province.
Li Sanfu stated that no matter how long alumni have been away, "HNMMC" will always be their shared "home", and they are always welcome to return. He looks forward to more "HNMMC people" deeply cultivating their love for their hometown, cherishing their local roots, and fully supporting Hunan, contributing to the province's sustainable and high-quality development.
Li Sanfu awarded appointment letters to 16 entrepreneur alumni as startup mentors, while He Zhanbing presented plaques to alumni enterprises for college-enterprise cooperation. Alumni representatives Li Yingjin and Cai Jiling delivered speeches.
Leaders and alumni representatives jointly pushed the gilded lever, marking the successful conclusion of the Launch Ceremony of the First "Alumni Return to Hunan" Cultural Week and the 2024 Graduation Ceremony amidst enthusiastic applause.
