Recently, the results of the 2023 Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing and Speech Contest of Hunan Province were announced, and our college won a total of 8 awards. Among them, 15 students including Yang Yi from the School of Film and Television Art won the first prize in the vocational college student group; 5 students including Zhong Yaqin won the second prize; 3 students including Zhao Jiaying won the third prize; 2 students including Lan Jiawen won the excellence award. In the teacher group, Yi Pei won the third prize, and teachers Jiang Lifen and Lv Xinyan were rated as outstanding guiding teachers. The college was awarded the Excellent Organization Award in the contest.
For a long time, our college has attached great importance to spoken and written Chinese language work, and has created campus brand activities such as "Chinese Classics Recitation," "Salute to Great Craftsmen of the Nation," "Campus Poetry Conference," and "Chinese Character Dictation Competition," conducting more than 100 spoken and written Chinese language activities each year. It has hosted high-standard events such as the Award Ceremony of Rural Poetry Conference in Hunan Province, Chinese Classics Recitation Contest of Hunan Province, and Hunan Language Time Recitation Contest. In 2022, the college was chosen as one of the first batch of spoken and written Chinese language promotion bases in Hunan Province. In 2023, the School of Film and Television Art of our college was honored as the "National Advanced Collective for the Promotion and Popularization of Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language," becoming the only college in the province to receive this honor. In the same year, the college was successfully selected as one of the third batch of national spoken and written Chinese language promotion bases, becoming the only vocational college selected in the province.
The road ahead is long and the task is arduous. Our college will make more efforts in the standardization of spoken and written Chinese language, promotion of outstanding Chinese culture, assistance in rural revitalization through Mandarin popularization, and international exchange and dissemination of language and culture, making greater contributions to the high-quality development of the national spoken and written Chinese language work.
