From May 10th to 12th, the highly anticipated final round of the first National College Students' Career Planning Competition was held in Shanghai. Zhao Leyang, a student from the School of Film and Television Art at our college (guided by Teacher Chen Xianghuai), after going through the selection process of the campus, provincial, and national levels, finally clinched the gold medal in the growth track of vocational education group in the national finals with outstanding performance. Additionally, he received job offers from six well-known companies on the spot. Vice President Lei Junlin and colleagues from the Admissions and Employment Office attended the event to provide guidance and encouragement to the participating students and teachers.

This competition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, is the first nationwide specialized event aimed at promoting high-quality and full employment of college students in China. With the theme "Building Young Peoples Dreams and Setting Sail for the Future," the competition aims to create a broad platform for career education by fostering moral integrity and employment-oriented education, facilitating precise matching of talent supply and demand, and providing a broader job market for graduates. Since its launch in August 2023, the competition has attracted active participation from 2,740 colleges and universities nationwide, covering a total of 9.52 million students, accounting for 98.6% of the total number of regular institutions of higher learning in the country. Among them, 7.44 million students participated in the growth track.

Our college has always integrated student career education throughout the entire process of enrollment, cultivation, and employment. Centered around the career planning competition, the college organized the campus-level competition rigorously, screened works strictly, and organized teachers and students to revise and polish their entries repeatedly. By adopting the model of "promoting learning, teaching, and employment through competition," the college has truly turned the college students career planning competition into a major classroom for enhancing career education, nurturing a group of exemplary leaders, and forming a set of educative models that others can learn from.

In the future, our college will continue to uphold the educational philosophy of moral integrity and employment-oriented education, deepen career education and employment guidance work, and make greater contributions to the cultivation of more outstanding talents and the service of socio-economic development.
