Recently, the results of the 2023 Consumer Assistance Marketing Competition of Hunan Province were announced. HNMMC faculty and students won a total of 9 awards. Among them, Feng Yanwei, a student from the School of Journalism and Communication, won the Outstanding Anchor Award. Four teams including Lan Xiaopeng received the Silver Award. Teachers Xiang Ning, Shan Ludongdong, and Zhu Yunzhi were awarded the Third Prize for Outstanding Guidance Teachers. HNMMC was awarded the "Outstanding Organizational Unit" accolade.

It is reported that the competition was hosted by the Hunan Marketing Association, and the organizing committee was jointly composed of the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, and the Provincial Bureau of Rural Revitalization. With the theme "Youth Assistance Ignites Hope", the competition aimed to promote rural revitalization and consumer assistance through methods such as "boosting agriculture through commerce, promoting trade through competition, and promoting innovation through competition". The competition attracted active participation from 176,400 college students representing 113 colleges and universities across the province.

HNMMC's Academic Affairs Office, Youth League Committee, and various secondary schools and departments cooperated closely. They actively participated through organizing students to conduct live streaming on Douyin, releasing creative videos, marketing through WeChat applets, promoting through Moments reposts, and participating in offline markets, among other methods. This embodies the concept of "promoting teaching and learning through competition". Not only did it enhance the professional skills of participating faculty and students, but it also cultivated the character of daring to strive, innovate, and explore among the new generation of youth.
