April 23rd marked the 29th World Book Day, and HNMMC organized a diverse series of activities to celebrate.
Over 200 students from the Broadcasting and Hosting major at the School of Film and Television Art, under the guidance of young teachers Lv Xinyan and Wen Wen, themed their event "Homeland Sentiments, Where the Heart Belongs". Integrating professional teaching methods, they created an immersive learning environment and hosted a unique classic recitation event. Through reciting classics, they showcased the beauty of blending sound and literature.
The library invited Professor Tang Chenghua, a member of the National Steering Committee for Vocational Education and Teaching in Press and Publication, the Textbook Committee of Hunan Province, founder of the Love Reading Studio, and a teacher at the School of Journalism and Communication, to deliver a reading sharing session titled "Sixpence Everywhere, Will You Look Up at the Moon?" to over 300 young students. With rich reading experiences and profound insights, Professor Tang guided students to cultivate good reading habits.
Since the launch of the "Chuyi Reading Action" by the Department of Education of Hunan Province in 2023, HNMMC has attached great importance to it. The leadership has taken the lead, and various departments have meticulously organized activities to continuously stimulate the interest of teachers and students in reading, cultivate their good reading habits, and improve their reading literacy. This has promoted the formation of a strong atmosphere of loving to read, choosing good books, and being adept at reading, further contributing to the college's connotative and high-quality development.
