Recently, the college’s Youth League Committee, in collaboration with the Changsha Blood Center, organized a week-long voluntary blood donation activity.
At the event site, the participating faculty and students were enthusiastic. The Student Union of the Youth League Committee meticulously arranged for student volunteers to play guitar and sing, easing the tension of those donating blood. With the patient guidance of the volunteers, donors queued in an orderly fashion and went through the processes of registration, physical examination, and preliminary blood screening. Meanwhile, medical staff patiently answered everyone's questions and thoroughly explained the precautions to take before and after blood donation, ensuring that each donor could complete their donation with confidence and ease.
Xiao Kanglin, a student from Class 2202 of the Interior Design major at the School of Visual Art, has participated in the voluntary blood donation activity three times. He stated, "Voluntary blood donation is a positive act. It not only helps others but also adds meaning to life. Knowing that blood donation can aid those in need gives me a sense of accomplishment."
The successful organization of this voluntary blood donation activity not only demonstrated the noble qualities and social responsibility of our faculty and students but also conveyed the positive energy of caring for life and contributing to society. In the future, our college will continue to strengthen publicity and education, continuously raising awareness and participation in voluntary blood donation among faculty and students, further promoting the construction of campus spiritual civilization and contributing to public welfare.
