To vigorously promote the spirit of volunteer service of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress," advocate for new civilized trends, and build a harmonious campus, the Youth League Committee of HNMMC launched a series of activities themed "Learning from Lei Feng's Spirit, Passing on the Torch of Volunteerism" from March 4th to 21st. Since the beginning of March, various activities have been carried out, including "Civilized Traffic Guidance" volunteer service, "Holding Hands with Love, Enjoying Beautiful Scenery Together" - public welfare activity themed on caring for children with cerebral palsy, and "Sending Letters to Assist Children" public welfare activity themed on caring for left-behind children. Through long-term persistence, these initiatives have further enhanced students' awareness of traffic safety and civilized conduct, strengthened their consciousness of supporting and helping people with disabilities, and gathered societal love to understand, respect, and care for vulnerable groups.
In addition, the Youth League general branches of each secondary school, in combination with the characteristics and practical work of the schools, have carried out various forms of volunteer service activities, such as old clothes recycling, computer clinics, Songya Lake beach cleaning, community service, Lei Feng-themed essays, Lei Feng spirit knowledge contests, etc.
Next, the Youth League Committee of HNMMC will continue to organize various types of volunteer service activities, guiding the majority of young League members to become advocates and practitioners of Lei Feng's spirit, interpreting the power of goodness and positivity through practical actions, continuing Lei Feng stories in the new era, and allowing the spirit of Lei Feng to shine even brighter on campus.
