Recently, the 2023 Taekwondo Competition for College Students in Hunan Province and the 11th National Karate Competition for College Students were held in Changsha, Hunan, and Shenzhen, Guangdong, respectively. Our college's Taekwondo team was led by Vice President Shen Jianfei, with instructors Peng Tao, Zhang Wenzhe, and Pan Chao from the Physical Education Teaching Department coaching the team members who actively prepared for the competition.
In the Taekwondo Competition for College Students in Hunan Province, Wei Zhihao and Xu Hanyu from the School of Journalism and Communication won the first place in the men's individual 68 kg and women's individual 57 kg categories, respectively; Chen Wang from the School of New Media Technology won the third place in the women's individual 57 kg category. In the 11th National Karate Competition for College Students, Xie Ruiheng, a student from the School of New Media Technology, won first place.
During the competition, the athletes analyzed the situation calmly, applied their skills wisely, and fought bravely without fear of strong opponents. They demonstrated strong willpower and a high level of skill, fully showcasing their good spirits and demeanor.
