On December 5th, HNMMC solemnly held the Eighth Meeting of the Fifth Session of Faculty Representatives and Union Members Representatives. A total of 133 faculty representatives and union members, bearing the trust of all the college's teaching staff, gathered together to discuss the major plans for the college's development.

The conference opened solemnly with the national anthem, chaired respectively by Li Sanfu, Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee, and Xie Jingwei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee, with all the college leaders in attendance. The college’s CPC Committee Member and Vice President Xu Jingxue delivered the opening speech. The representatives listened to the administrative work report titled "Practical and Steadfast, Hold True to the Original Aspiration, Strive for Excellence into the Future, Unite and Forge Ahead to Build a High-Level Vocational Undergraduate College" by the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President He Zhanbing, the "Union Work Report" by the Union Chairman Liu Guoqing, the "Financial Work Report" by Vice President Lei Junlin, the "Proposal Work Report" by the Proposal Work Committee Director Qian Ying, the "Union Funds Audit Report" by the Union Funds Audit Committee Director Yang Huangjiang, and the drafting explanations of "HNMMC Performance Salary Internal Distribution Methods" and "HNMMC Extra Workload Performance Salary Payment Methods" as well as explanations on the arrangements for the 2023 academic and technical titles review work of HNMMC by the CPC Committee Member and Director of the Organization and Personnel Department, Li Yunfeng.
He Zhanbing comprehensively summarized the gratifying achievements made in education and teaching since 2022 in the administrative work report and proposed the work arrangements for the next stage. He pointed out that the overall approach to the next stage of college work is: to adhere to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era, deeply implement Xi Jinping's thought on culture, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, closely focus on the fundamental task of moral education, firmly grasp the new trends and requirements of higher vocational education in the new era, strengthen the comprehensive leadership of the Party, fully implement the Party's educational policies, improve management mechanisms and systems, fully promote law-based governance of schools, focus on upgrading the level of education, use inspection and rectification as a leverage, focus on media, highlight characteristics, achieve breakthroughs, and strive to build a high-level vocational undergraduate college.

Liu Guoqing, on behalf of the fifth union committee, made a comprehensive summary of the achievements of the college’s fifth union committee in ideological and political leadership of the union, democratic political construction, the service guarantee system for teaching staff, and the self-construction of the union team, and proposed the main ideas for the next stage of the college's union work.
During the group discussions among the various delegations, the representatives spoke freely, actively offered suggestions, and discussed and deliberated on the reports of the conference, proposing valuable opinions and suggestions on all aspects of the college's work.
In the afternoon meeting, all faculty representatives and union members representatives separately voted and passed the "Administrative Work Report", "Union Work Report", "Financial Work Report", "HNMMC Performance Salary Internal Distribution Methods", "HNMMC Extra Workload Performance Salary Payment Methods", and the adjustments to the 2023 academic and technical titles review work of HNMMC. The college’s CPC Committee Member and Vice President Cheng Guizhen read out the "Resolution" (draft) of the conference, which was unanimously passed.
At the closing ceremony, Secretary Li Sanfu delivered a speech, expressing warm congratulations on the successful conclusion of the conference on behalf of the college’s CPC Committee, and extended high respect and sincere greetings to all the teaching staff who have worked hard for the construction and development of the college, and to the retired comrades who care about and support the college's cause. Li Sanfu pointed out that this conference is an important meeting for the college to enter the "14th Five-Year Plan" development stage and fully embark on the new journey of "constructing ‘Double High’ and establishing vocational undergraduate programs". He offered three opinions on the construction and development of the college: to establish a foundation for the future, lead in practice, and strengthen construction to high standards; to seek the source in rectification, lead by example, and promote high-quality development; and to solidify the foundation in truth-seeking, lead in innovation, and cultivate a high-quality team comprehensively. He emphasized that the development of the college has reached a new level, facing many challenges and rare opportunities in the future. All representatives, as the witnesses, participants, and builders of the "constructing ‘Double High’ and establishing vocational undergraduate programs" initiative of HNMMC, should adhere to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era, unite their strengths, face difficulties, forge ahead, bravely move forward, bear the new mission entrusted by the new era with true ideals and aspirations, and jointly create a bright future for HNMMC and everyone involved!
The conference successfully concluded after completing all the agenda items.
