On the afternoon of November 10th, Dr. Cai Su, Associate Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the Faculty of Education of Beijing Normal University, and Director of the "VR/AR+ Education" Laboratory at the Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education, as well as the Vice Director of the Joint Laboratory for Mobile Learning, Ministry of Education - China Mobile Communication Corporation, was invited to deliver an academic lecture at our college. The lecture, titled "Empowering Smart Classrooms with Augmented Reality (AR) in the Era of Artificial Intelligence", was hosted by Professor Li Huiyi, Dean of the School of New Media Technology.
Dr. Cai Su provided insights into the current applications and future prospects of AR learning environments in the field of education both domestically and internationally. He shared practical classroom cases of AR+AIGC teaching developed through independent research, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the convenience, intelligence, and interactivity of AR technology in classroom instruction. Through the integration of AR learning environments and Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC), he brought "Li Bai (a famous poet in ancient China)" to the lecture, engaging students and faculty in interactive questioning, showcasing the charm of interactive teaching.
The entire lecture was filled with wit and humor, not only helping students explore the forefront of their disciplines, expand their horizons through academic exchange and collision but also contributing to enhancing teachers' teaching abilities and improving the quality of technical and skilled talent cultivation. After the lecture, students expressed confidence in their professional prospects, further solidifying their determination to study digital media technology and contribute to the construction of a digital powerhouse.
