The contest encourages students to actively participate in extracurricular scientific and technological activities, broaden their knowledge, cultivate a spirit of creativity and teamwork, and promote reforms in the teaching system, content, and methods of college mathematics education. In 2023, a total of 1,685 institutions/campuses and 59,611 teams, including participants from across China and countries such as the United States, Australia, and Malaysia, registered for the competition, with nearly 180,000 individuals taking part.
