Targeted Training Program of National-level Teaching Innovation Team in Digital Media Technology at Hongjiang

On the afternoon of November 1st, the national-level teaching innovation team in Digital Media Technology at Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College concluded a 10-day targeted training program at the Industrial Secondary Specialized School in Hongjiang District, Huaihua. Trainees from the school expressed their gratitude, stating, "We are very thankful for this training opportunity. Through the guidance of the experts, we not only gained a new understanding of the concept of teaching ability competition but also developed fresh perspectives on the implementation of teaching processes, curriculum development, and were introduced to new technologies like AIGC that we had never encountered before".

This training is part of the 2023 Teacher Quality Improvement Plan for Vocational Colleges in Hunan Province, specifically the "Precise Training Program for Vocational Schools in Less Developed Areas through Targeted Support under the distinctive national training project. The training involved a tailored approach, with a team of experts from our college traveling to the Industrial Secondary Specialized School in Hongjiang to conduct classes. The expert team was led by Li Huiyi, the Dean of the School of New Media Technology, and comprised teaching staff from the national-level teaching innovation team in Digital Media Technology.

During the training, the instructors, based on the experience of building "Chuyi" high-level major groups, the national-level teaching innovation team, and the national-level teaching resource library, delivered a series of thematic lectures covering various aspects such as the development strategy of major groups, industry trends, job demand analysis, formulation of talent development plans, curriculum standard writing, curriculum teaching design, curriculum resource construction, teaching and research methods for educational reform, and ideological and political education in the curriculum. In the group discussion sessions, the instructors provided hands-on guidance to the participants on optimizing and refining materials related to personnel training, curriculum standards, and teaching plans.

       Members of the national-level teaching innovation team in Digital Media Technology include provincial-level teaching experts, provincial-level technical experts, provincial-level young backbone teachers, and winners of the first prize in provincial-level teaching competitions. Participants in the training program appreciated the "high quality", "warmth", and practicality of the teaching provided by this national-level teaching innovation team. They believe that the sessions not only introduced new teaching concepts and information technology design but also enhanced their practical operational capabilities, meeting the practical need for knowledge that can be immediately applied.
