In the golden month of October, a season of abundant harvest, faculty and students from the School of New Media Technology achieved remarkable success in national and provincial competitions, bringing honor to our college.
On October 23rd, in the 2023 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition — the inaugural Virtual Simulation Technology Product Development and Innovation category, a team led by faculty members Zhou Yanmei and Li Huan, with students Chen Jinjie, Qu Can, and Tan Rong, secured a resounding victory by clinching the national second prize.
On October 20th, the Second Industrial and Information Technology Skills Competition in Hunan Province concluded successfully. The School of New Media Technology fielded a total of four student teams for this competition. Among them, the team of Chen Jinjie and Chen Ankun excelled in the 5G+ Virtual Reality Development and Application category, winning the first prize in the student group. The teams led by Lu Xuanjin, Zhou Lietao, and Shen Zhichao, as well as Zhao Feng, Yang Zhitian, and Gu Anjie, achieved the second and third prizes respectively in the Industrial Internet Security category for the student group. Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College was honored as the "Champion Unit", and teacher Zhang Jing received the "Outstanding Coach Award".
The School of New Media Technology has always upheld the philosophy of "learning through competition", promoting the spirit of continuous improvement and and cultivating a multitude of high-quality technical and skilled professionals.
