In recent days, to implement the teaching content of the national first-aid education pilot schools, enhance the emergency response capabilities of teachers and students, reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death, and ensure the safety of teachers and students' lives, HNMMC conducted a "Rescue Around You, Safeguard the Campus" cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification training on October 17th at the gymnasium and staff clubhouse. The training invited Teacher Xiong Ying and other outstanding first-aid instructors from the Red Cross Society of Changsha County to teach at the college. A total of more than 230 participants, including some counselors and student representatives from secondary schools, attended the training.
Teacher Xiong Ying introduced basic first-aid knowledge to everyone, focusing on teaching closed cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and the use of AED devices. Live demonstrations were conducted on the spot regarding the management of airway obstruction. Using a human body model, the specific steps of CPR and AED defibrillation were demonstrated, allowing everyone to become more proficient in CPR techniques. During the training, instructors from the Red Cross Society of Changsha County promptly corrected the participants' details, emphasizing precautions for potential problems and emergencies during the rescue process, ensuring that each participant could familiarize themselves with and master these essential skills.
This training has made teachers and students realize the importance and practicality of emergency first-aid knowledge, enhanced their ability to prevent accidental injuries, and improved their self-rescue and mutual aid skills in responding to emergencies. At the same time, it has contributed to the establishment of a safety net for building a secure campus..
