On the morning of August 14th, an opening ceremony of the Training Program for Capacity Enhancement of the College Leading Cadres was held at East China Normal University. 60 participants, including college leaders and middle-level cadres, attended the event. The keynote speech was delivered by Li Sanfu, the Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee. Chen Xiangdong, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Education at East China Normal University, also attended the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Li Sanfu emphasized the significance of learning and the importance of cultivating the right attitude towards it. He urged all participants to seize the opportunity for learning and strive to achieve effective results. He stressed the need for integrating knowledge with practical application and emphasized that the fruits of learning should be translated into action. Li Sanfu pointed out the importance of using effective learning methods, such as combining critical thinking, practical application, maintaining a balance between work and leisure, and integrating knowledge and action. He highlighted the need to enhance ten key abilities: 1. Enhancing three political abilities: Political judgment, political comprehension, and political execution. 2. Strengthening three thinking abilities: Innovative thinking, forward thinking, and bottom-line thinking. 3. Improving four execution-related abilities: Leadership decision-making ability, communication and coordination skills, organizational implementation and professional technical skills.
This five-day training program focuses on topics such as General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education, national major education policies, and the modernization of governance capabilities. Through expert lectures, on-site teaching, and practical research, the program aims to enhance the abilities of leading cadres in promoting high-quality development, serving the people, and preventing and resolving risks. It aims to cultivate a group of experts who are proficient in promoting high-quality development, fully leveraging the role of leading cadres as a "critical minority" and the "vanguard effect".
