On August 8th, at the on-site competition of the 9th Hunan "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held at Hunan University of Technology, two innovation and entrepreneurship projects sent by HNMMC stood out in fierce competition, achieving outstanding results by winning the first and second prizes at the provincial level in the Entrepreneurship group of Vocational Education track. This fully demonstrates the daring and innovative spirit of our faculty and students.
This competition attracted a total of 368,000 project submissions from 122 colleges and universities across the province. After rounds of selection through campus and provincial evaluations, a total of 409 teams (including previous national bronze medal-winning projects) advanced to the final on-site presentation stage. Among them, the team led by our student, Lv Shuai, with their entrepreneurship project titled "Elevating the Name of the City at One Stroke: Expertise in Creating New Scenes for Traditional Chinese-style Urban IPs" (Mentors: Fan Jinchao, Qu Shenghui, Chen Xianghuai, Zhong Feixia), secured the first place in the Entrepreneurship group of Vocational Education track at the provincial level. Additionally, the team led by our student, Huang Weitao, with their project "Red Earth Ambitions: Inheriting Thousand-year-old Rammed Earth Techniques, Leading the High-performance Fiber-reinforced Earth Industry" (Mentors: Zhu Zhou, Liao Yanqiong, Zeng Li, Xie Bei), received the provincial second prize.
HNMMC will seize this opportunity to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, using the college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship competition as an important lever. We will use the competition to promote teaching, drive improvement, enhance learning, and foster innovation. This will broaden our horizons, display our new image, and cultivate a fertile ground for mass entrepreneurship and innovation. The integration of specialization and entrepreneurship will deepen, and the atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship will become even stronger, providing students with a broad stage to enhance their innovation capabilities and practical skills.
