Home visits during the summer break strengthen the bond between the college and families. Recently, the Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee, Li Sanfu, led a team to visit and console "Focused Students" families in Dong'an County, Yongzhou City, delivering the college's care and financial support. Zhu Dan, a member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of HNMMC, accompanied the visit, along with leaders from the Education Bureau of Dong'an County and Vocational and Technical School of Dong'an County.
Li Sanfu and his team visited and consoled students' families who were previously on the poverty alleviation registry and those receiving rural and urban subsistence allowances in Shetang Village and Tangjia Village (Lumaqiao Town) in Dong’an County. They engaged in heart-to-heart discussions with students and their parents, gaining a deep understanding of the students' family life, sources of income, and the health of family members. They inquired carefully about the current difficulties faced by these families and introduced the assistance-related policies of the college to the parents. Li Sanfu expressed the college's commitment to further intensify support for these focused students, providing them with genuine care, and actively assisting in their growth and development. At the same time, Li Sanfu gave full recognition to the outstanding qualities of the visited students, emphasizing the importance of facing challenges, cultivating determination, and maintaining qualities of perseverance and diligence. He encouraged the students to use knowledge to change their own and their family's destinies, and to repay their parents, the school, and society with outstanding achievements. Both visited students expressed their determination to remember the guidance and advice of the leaders and teachers, and not to let down the earnest expectations of the college and their families. The parents of the students were deeply moved by the visit of the leaders in the hot summer, expressing their gratitude and pledging continued cooperation with the college to achieve joint nurturing and support for the students' development.
This visit and consolation activity has strengthened the connection between the college and families, enhanced the emotional bond between teachers and students, and not only delivered material care to the "focused students" but also provided spiritual comfort and encouragement. It has brought the warmth of the Party, the country, and the college to the hearts of the students, strengthened the cooperation between families and the college, and improved the effectiveness of targeted assistance and student development. This activity is a concrete embodiment of the HNMMC’s implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and its fundamental mission of nurturing students' character. In the future, HNMMC will continue to carry out visit and consolation activities, strengthen student care and support efforts, and earnestly address practical issues in student development to comprehensively assist students in their growth and success.
Responsible persons from the Student Affairs Department, Training Center, School of Journalism and Communication, School of Management, as well as student counselors for the visited students, participated in the activity.
