Since the launch of this activity in February of this year, HNMMC’s leadership has attached great importance to it and implemented the "Notice on Issuing the Chuyi Reading Action Plan for Vocational Colleges in Hunan Province" issued by the Department of Education of Hunan Province. With the goal of "creating a branded activity, enriching campus culture, and becoming a demonstration site for the Chuyi Reading Action", HNMMC has established a working mechanism where the college president leads the way and teachers set an example while students actively participate. Focusing on the theme of "Enjoy Reading in the New Era, Pursue Dreams in a New Journey", the Academic Affairs Office, in collaboration with the Propaganda and United Front Work Department, the Library, the Youth League Committee, the School of International Communication, and other secondary schools, has meticulously planned and implemented ten "One" activities, including thematic reading conferences, book sharing sessions, thematic essays, recommended quality books, "Most Beautiful Reading Spaces" check-ins, and the selection of "Chuyi Reading Stars". These activities have further motivated teachers and students to engage in dialogue with historical figures, role models, and the times through books, striving to be participants, practitioners, and promoters of the "Reading Action".
The achievements of this activity reflect HNMMC's commitment to cultivating a literary campus and demonstrates the fruitful outcomes of our "Double High" construction. In the next steps, HNMMC will continue to promote the Chuyi Reading Action on a regular basis, creating a literary campus, and continually enhancing the sense of achievement, happiness, and belonging among our teachers and students, while contributing to the progress of educational reform.
