On July 3rd, the Seminar on Building National Vocational Education Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Team Collaboration Community for the New Generation of Information Technology (II), which was hosted by the National Vocational Education Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Team Collaboration Community and organized by HNMMC, was successfully held in Changsha, with the participation of vocational education experts from the Ministry of Education, representatives from 10 member institutions from across the country, and industry experts. The purpose of the seminar was to pool collective wisdom and discuss the establishment of high-level, structured teaching innovation teams.
The seminar consisted of four parts: keynote lectures, work reports, company visits, and a round-table meeting of the collaboration community. Li Sanfu, the Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee, attended the seminar and delivered a speech. Xu Jingxue, the Vice President of HNMMC and the leader of the main topic in the field of the New Generation of Information Technology, presided over the seminar. Liu Dong, Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the National Vocational Education Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Team Project, and Professor Huang Yansong, Dean of the Medical School at Changsha Social Work College, were invited to attend and gave special speeches. In the afternoon, the participating teachers conducted research visits to companies in the Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Park, such as Mango TV, Mango XR, Changsha VIVEDU Information Technology, and Leyard Malanshan Virtual Production Base, to understand the cutting-edge technologies of digital media in video content production and the changing demands for industry talents.
On the morning of July 4th, representatives from 10 member institutions of the collaborative community, including Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College (HNMMC), Shijiazhuang College of Applied Technology, Zhejiang Business Technology Institute, Liming Vocational University, Chongqing Technology and Business Institute, Shanghai Art & Design Academy, Sichuan Post and Telecommunication College, Zibo Polytechnical Vocational School in Shandong Province, Qianjiang Ethnic Vocational Education Center in Chongqing's Qianjiang District, and Yancheng College of Mechatronic Technology, reported on the progress of their previous work and exchanged construction experiences. Shen Jianfei, Vice President of HNMMC, reported on the college's work. Professor Xu Jingxue, on behalf of the collaborative community's leading unit and the leader of the main topic, made arrangements for the work in the next phase, emphasizing the need to seize the construction period of less than a year before the evaluation, reverse the schedule, and achieve "benchmarking, clarifying ideas, and focusing on key points". In the next phase, the focus should be on seven aspects: optimizing the teaching innovation team, enhancing team capabilities, restructuring the curriculum system, implementing modular courses, refining the construction paradigm, summarizing the construction achievements, and promoting the demonstration role.
In the afternoon, experts from the industry, including Netease Youdao Information Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., Phoenix Digital Media (Beijing) Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Leyard-Hunan Dexiu Film and Television Technology Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches on topics such as the application of artificial intelligence and XR virtual shooting technology, improving the teachers’ capabilities of national teaching team, and the forefront of industry development.
The convening of this seminar will further strengthen communication and cooperation among member institutions of the collaborative community and between colleges and enterprises. It will help transform the innovation teams into a "vanguard" serving the reform and development of national vocational education, providing strong support for the comprehensive improvement of the quality of training for compound technical and skilled talents in the digital media field, and serving the construction of a digital China and a strong network nation.
