HNMMC Participated in Organizing the China-African TVET Cooperation Seminar

On June 30th, the China-African TVET Cooperation Seminar at the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo was held at the Changsha International Conference Center. With the theme of "China-Africa TVET Cooperation for Economic and Trade Success", the seminar was co-organized by the Department of Education of Hunan Province, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, HNMMC, and four other sister vocational colleges in the province. The Secretary of the CPC HNMMC Committee, Li Sanfu, attended the event upon invitation.

The seminar kicked off with a prelude VCR titled "China-Africa TVET Cooperation for Economic and Trade Success" created by HNMMC's teachers.

During the seminar, government officials from China and Africa, representatives from relevant institutions, and industry experts engaged in discussions on topics such as talent cultivation in Africa, localization of Chinese enterprises' workforce in Africa, and enhancing the vocational and technical skills of local employees. Participants expressed that China's TVET model offers valuable insights for education reform in African countries. The prospects for China-Africa TVET cooperation are promising. Through the continuous establishment of effective cooperation and exchange mechanisms and enriching the content of TVET cooperation, China-Africa TVET cooperation will undoubtedly reach new heights.

The director of the School of Film and Television Art, Li Bing, moderated an interactive salon titled "China-Africa TVET Cooperation Facilitating Talent Cultivation in Africa."

As one of the organizers of the seminar, HNMMC attached great importance to it. Secretary Li Sanfu and President He Zhanbing served as the leaders of the college's working group. A specialized team, consisting of departments such as the International Exchange Office, Party and Government Affairs Office, Propaganda and United Front Work Department, School of Journalism and Communication, and School of Film and Television Art, was formed to participate in the event. They carried out their tasks with a rigorous and dedicated work attitude, earning praise from the sponsor and participants.

This seminar has a significant impact on further integrating TVET into the "Belt and Road" initiative, deepening China-Africa TVET exchanges, and supporting China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. HNMMC actively promotes international cooperation and exchange in TVET, strengthens collaboration with institutions and organizations along the "Belt and Road" route, and strives to accelerate the development of TVET and make new contributions to the high-quality development of Hunan's economy and society.
