On June 11th, 2023, the Annual Conference of Hunan Provincial Committee of Computer Majors in Vocational Colleges was successfully held in Yongzhou. The conference invited over 100 participants, including leaders, experts, teachers from more than 30 vocational colleges in the province, and experts from top industry enterprises.

With the theme of "Accelerating Industry-Education Synergy, Innovating Digital Education," this conference focused on the integration of industry and education in the construction of digital education for computer majors in vocational colleges. Its aim was to further strengthen the integration between industry and education, facilitate the digital transformation of vocational education, share ideas, experiences, and achievements in major development and teaching reform, and collectively enhance the level of computer program education in higher vocational education.

The conference commenced with speeches from Li Sanfu, the Secretary of the CPC Committee of Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College, as the representative of the chairing unit, and Zheng Wenfei, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Yongzhou Vocational Technical College, as the representative of the host unit. They warmly welcomed the attendees.

Li Sanfu stated that with the advancement of educational digitalization, vocational education has encountered new opportunities, and digital transformation and upgrading have become an inevitable trend in vocational education. Grasping the trend of digital development and planning digital strategies are of great significance for promoting the digital transformation and reshaping the new ecology of vocational education. The digital transformation and upgrading of vocational education involve not only technological innovation but also the transformation and upgrading of educational concepts, models, and approaches. The college has been actively exploring educational and teaching reforms, strengthening cooperation and communication with enterprises, and promoting digital education. We have established emerging majors such as Digital Media Technology and Network News and Communication, collaborated with well-known companies, and carried out industry-university-research cooperation projects to provide students with more practical opportunities and employment positions. Industry-education integration and digital education are important directions for the development of vocational education and a significant pathway for cultivating high-quality skilled professionals that meet market demands. In the future, the college will continue to be guided by market demand, deepen educational and teaching reforms, and continuously improve the level of education. We will actively promote digital education, offer more emerging majors, strengthen cooperation and communication with enterprises, and provide students with more practical opportunities and employment positions.

During the technical sharing session, Deng Wenda, the Dean of the School of Software at Changsha Social Work College, shared his thoughts on "Reflections on Several Issues in the Construction of Big Data Majors in Vocational Colleges." Chen Xi from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. shared "Modern Industrial College Construction: Creating a New Model of College-Enterprise Cooperation." Zou Rong, the General Manager of Hunan Dongjin Cultural Development Co., Ltd., shared "High-Quality Digital Resources: Cultivating Talents, Developing Industries, and Promoting Development." Li Jianlong, the Product Manager of Jiangsu Odin Electronic and Technology Co., Ltd., shared "Digital Innovation: Constructing a New Ecology for Digital Campus of Vocational Education."

In the sub-forum "Conference on the Exchange of Achievements in Digitalizing Curriculum Resources," Ning Yunzhi, the Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office at Hunan Railway Professional Technology College, shared "Exploration and Practice of Developing Case Teaching Materials for Vocational Education Programs," while Professor Zeng Dan from the School of Visual Art of HNMMC shared "National Online Course Display and Experience Sharing." After the sharing session, experts from the publishing industry interacted and exchanged ideas with the attendees, providing clarifications and answering questions related to the development of national planned textbooks.

The conference further deepened the cooperation between industry, university, and research in the computer-related vocational education field in Hunan. The special committee will continue to leverage the unique features and strengths of the association, promoting the integration of computer information industry development and vocational college talent cultivation. This will provide high-quality technical and skilled personnel for the province's digital economy innovation and the construction of a national-level electronic information industry cluster.
