The 17th Chinese University Taekwondo Championships, organized by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC), concluded on May 30th in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China. After six days of intense competition, HNMMC Taekwondo team achieved excellent results, winning 1 gold medal, 2 bronze medals, and 2 fifth-place finishes. Additionally, they secured the second overall position in the men's team event for vocational college students.
Over 2,000 coaches and athletes from more than 192 colleges and universities participated in this competition, making it the largest and most competitive in history. The Taekwondo team of our college was led by Vice President Shen Jianfei as the team leader, with three teachers from the Physical Education Department, namely Peng Tao, Zhang Wenzhe, and Xie Ping, serving as coaches. They guided a team of eight athletes to participate in the event. Our athletes demonstrated tenacity, courage, and showcased their excellent technical and tactical abilities, reflecting a high level of sportsmanship. Their outstanding performance brought great honor to our college. This is the best achievement our college's sports team has accomplished since its establishment.
