To strengthen the construction of the teaching staff and improve the quality of talent development, HNMMC selected outstanding teams to participate in Hunan Vocational College Teachers’ Professional Competency Competition. On May 7th, the 2023 Teachers’ Professional Competency Competition - Teaching Ability Contest, took place in Classroom 202 of the Integrated Teaching Building of HNMMC.
The organization of the competition began in April, aiming to further enhance the educational and teaching level. The event followed the requirements of the 2023 Hunan Vocational College Teachers’ Professional Competency Competition - Teaching Ability Contest. Through stages such as promotion and mobilization, voluntary registration, and preliminary selection by secondary teaching units, a total of 22 teaching teams entered the campus-level competition. The campus competition was conducted through a combination of online and offline stages. In the online phase, the expert panel mainly evaluated the competition materials, including teaching implementation reports, lesson plans, and curriculum standards. Sixteen teams were selected to advance to the on-site campus competition.
The on-site campus competition consisted of three stages: teaching implementation presentation, teaching video clips showcase, and defense. The participating teachers, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship, made careful preparations in teaching content, teaching methods, and language expression. The judging panel, composed of external experts, fully acknowledged the diligent efforts of the participating teachers. They identified prominent issues in the works and provided corresponding improvement suggestions. Finally, 11 teams were selected to represent the college in 2023 Hunan Vocational College Teachers’ Professional Competency Competition - Teaching Ability Contest.
In recent years, the college has consistently adhered to the work philosophy of "promoting teaching, learning, improvement, and development through competitions." It has utilized the exemplary and leading role of teachers’ teaching ability competitions to create a group of innovative teaching teams with high-level professional teachers, striving to enhance the overall teaching level and the quality of talent development in the college.
