The School of International Communication Conducted Majors Investigation to Cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen

From May 4th to 6th, the Construction Team of Cross-cultural Communication Major Group from the School of International Communication embarked on a three-day research trip to Guangzhou and Shenzhen for majors investigation. They conducted in-depth research at Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology, and Guangzhou Chimelong Group Co., Ltd.

On the afternoon of May 4th, Mr. Su Jie'en, the Deputy Manager of Guangzhou Chimelong Group Co., Ltd., warmly received our research team. Mr. Su emphasized the company's school-enterprise cooperation model, talent development mechanism, and employee promotion channels. He shared successful case studies of school-enterprise cooperation. The school and the enterprise engaged in frank discussions regarding student internship positions, internship responsibilities, and internship benefits, reaching preliminary intentions for cooperation.

On May 5th, the research team visited Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology. Wang Xianfeng, the Dean of the School of Applied Foreign Languages, received and presided over the symposium. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, curriculum design, teaching reforms, internships and practical training. After the symposium, the research team visited the on-campus training facilities for majors such as Business English, Modern Secretarial Studies, and Tourism Management.

On May 6th, the research team arrived in Shenzhen. In the morning, they conducted research at Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology. Li Zhe, the Deputy Dean of the School of Applied Foreign Languages, and relevant program directors participated in the symposium. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as professional talent development, curriculum design, school-enterprise cooperation models, and the operation of customized training programs. In the afternoon, the team visited some graduates who are working in Shenzhen to understand their work situation and their employers' talent needs. They also listened to the graduates' suggestions on curriculum design, internship base construction, and employment opportunities for graduates.
