On the evening of April 19th, the 23rd Student Union Inauguration Ceremony was grandly held at Classroom D101 of the Teaching Building in HNMMC. Zhu Dan, member of the CPC HNMMC Committee and Vice President, attended the ceremony. Persons in charge of the Student Affairs Office and the Youth League Committee, as well as teacher representatives, also attended the event. Members of the 22nd and 23rd Student Union, student leaders of the Youth League Committee, representatives from college-level student organizations such as the Flag Guard, the Campus Network Communication Station (HNMMC New Youth), the Yiban Development Center, and HNMMC Youth Lecturer Group, as well as student secretaries of the general branch of each secondary school’s Youth League and members of the Student Union Presidium, participated in the inauguration ceremony.
The ceremony began with everyone standing up and singing the national anthem.
Peng Tao, the Director of the Student Affairs Office, delivered the opening speech at the ceremony, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Student Affairs Office to all members of the 22nd Student Union for their efforts and contributions to the student work. He hoped that the new members would shoulder their responsibilities, continue to take on important tasks, and contribute to the high-quality development of the college.
Zhao Jiacheng, the Executive Chairman of the 22nd Student Union, presented the annual work report. He reviewed the work of the Student Union in the past year, summarized the experience, and proposed to build a student union that is full of ideals, caring for fellow students, and vibrant and sunny. He also extended his best wishes to the next group of members.
He Fasheng, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee, read out the decision to appoint the members of the 23rd Student Union at the scene.
All members of the 23rd Student Union took the oath of office, and Peng Binxin, a member of the new Presidium, spoke as a representative, expressing the spirit of continuous improvement and constant progress in their work.
Subsequently, a handover ceremony was held, during which the members of the 22nd Presidium handed over the flag and the seal to the members of the 23rd Student Union Presidium.
Zhu Dan expressed in his speech that with the annual inauguration ceremony, a group of outstanding student cadres leave this collective with fruitful results. At the same time, fresh blood is injected, brimming with enthusiasm. Witnessing this scene always brings about the joy of accomplishments and the happiness of growth. He thanked each student union member for their efforts and contributions to the development of our college, and hoped that students could also achieve personal improvement in this process, becoming exemplary students with both good character and academic performance, and serving as role models among the students of the new era.
The ceremony concluded successfully with the anthem, "We are in the Prime of Our Youth".
